Job summary

hermeneutic research seeks an exceptional portfolio manager with a demonstrable track record to build and manage a discretionary trading portfolio across digital asset markets.

You will have extensive support and resources to develop and scale your investment approach, with ownership from idea generation and fundamental and macro analysis through portfolio construction, trade execution, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 5 years trading or investment experience, ideally hedge fund or crypto-native.
• Proven track record of returns in digital asset markets.
• Strong risk-adjusted performance with understanding of volatility and drawdowns.
• Experience independently managing capital, including sizing and decision-making.
• Deep understanding of digital asset markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine a discretionary trading strategy across digital asset markets.
• Identify and evaluate investment opportunities via fundamental, macro, and market-structure analysis.
• Translate views into portfolio positions with sizing, execution, and risk controls.
• Maintain a disciplined investment process and adapt to market conditions and risk/reward dynamics.
• Collaborate with researchers, traders, and engineers to leverage data and technology for idea generation and execution.
• Own portfolio performance with focus on risk-adjusted returns within the firm's risk framework.
