The Senior Director of Technology Field Services will lead strategic planning, implementation, and management of field technology services across our rapidly growing portfolio of hotels in APACx (excluding Greater China & Mongolia). Reporting directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO) APAC, you will play a key role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, and enhancing guest experiences through the effective deployment and utilization of technology solutions.

The role may be based out of any of the APACx Regional Offices (Singapore, Gurgaon, Sydney or Tokyo). This opportunity will be an in-role promotion which requires the team member to take on new responsibilities on top of existing portfolio.


HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique:

Field Operations

  • Work through regional Directors of Technology Field Services and partner with regional Operations leaders to manage operational challenges and opportunities and develop technology solutions to address them
  • Ensure seamless integration of technology systems and applications across field operations, operating within brand and security standards, and drive agreed operational KPIs and system refreshes with owners
  • Build the right operating model for IT Managers to meet the ownership needs at focused service hotels
  • Envision and enable phygital experience at hotels to optimize guest experience and team member productivity
  • Drive digital solutions readiness and adoption at hotels that complement our hospitality services and provide Hilton strategic advantages in relation to competitors
  • Encourage a culture of curiosity and innovation that results in continuous improvements and better interactions between guests and team members

Team Management and Development

  • Lead a high-performing technology team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive professional growth and development
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the technology team and the organization. In addition to performing their technical roles, evolve the capabilities of the hotel IT Managers to become trusted business partners with hotel business leadership

Vendor Management and Partnerships

  • Partner with global Technology domain leaders to deliver on the property technology needs of the region
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with technology vendors, partners, and industry stakeholders to stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the implementation of technology solutions and services

Data Security and Compliance

  • Ensure integrity, security, and compliance of technology systems and data management practices following industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures and protocols to protect sensitive information and mitigate cyber risks
  • Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective deployment of technology solutions
  • Monitor financial performance, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to senior leadership on technology investments and ROI

Direct Reports

  • Regional Directors of Technology Field Services
  • You will manage approximately 6 headcounts formed by team leaders and team members within the corporate organization, who oversee around 130 hotel IT resources

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology management roles, including 8 years within the hospitality and travel industry
  • Recent in-depth experience of Technology Field Services in one of the APACx regions
  • Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies that drive business results and enhance guest experiences
  • Strong experience and understanding of hospitality operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house systems, revenue management, and guest service standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and build collaborative relationships across departments
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures, manage competing priorities, and drive change in a dynamic environment
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements for data security, privacy, and compliance
  • Track record of project management with project management methodologies and tools, focusing on delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Working experience in the APAC region and track record of navigating the complexity in cultures of regional market and US head-office dynamics
