As the Senior Director, Ocean Freight Products – APAC, you will be instrumental in the development of DP World’s End to End Ocean product strategy, leveraging DPW assets, 3rd party suppliers, and deploying cutting edge technology as the digital backbone to design and scale a world-class Lead Logistics Provider (LLP) solutions, building the Product landscape including our Asia-Pacific LCL Product and network in Asia Pacific to/from Global Markets.
This role is inherently strategic, requiring you to define the long-term ocean product strategy roadmap for integrated supply chain services (4PL - Freight Management, Buyer Consolidation, 4PL Control Tower, Customs brokerage) while unlocking new revenue streams through LCL Product development, procurement and optimization.
You will act as the APAC Ocean product owner, responsible for driving cross-functional alignment (Global, Region, Cluster), and positioning DP World as the partner of choice for enterprises seeking end-to-end supply chain orchestration.
Lead Logistic Product Vision: Define and execute the strategic roadmap to serve DP World Network customers, integrating Buyer Consolidation, Control Tower Visibility, and Freight Management into a seamless client offering.
Yield Management: Work with Regions and Clusters to drive financial performance by optimizing service mix, pricing strategies, and overflow monetization (e.g., LCL revenue from under/overflow).
Technology Leadership: Implement DPW selected ERP as the core platform for end-to-end supply chain orchestration, ensuring it meets client needs for real-time PO tracking, inventory visibility, and exception management.
Control Tower Design: Build a centralized Control Tower powered by cutting edge technology to provide DP World Network customers with predictive analytics, risk alerts, and multi-modal shipment visibility.
Buyer Consolidation Expertise: Architect regional and global consolidation hubs to aggregate client shipments, reducing costs and improving supply chain efficiency.
Overflow Monetization: Connect & lead the LCL product to capture revenue from under/overflow volumes, designing dynamic routing rules to prioritize high-margin LCL lanes.
Design competitive pricing frameworks for LCL services, balancing regional cost structures and customer demand.
Lead procurement efforts with co-load partners, securing competitive rates and service agreements for CFS_CFS and first & final mile delivery.
Provide real-time consol capacity visibility to local teams, enabling targeted sales efforts to optimize space utilization.
Manage, control and develop the overall VAS strategy/activities in the country in accordance with the group business strategy and the regional VAS strategy to increase market share and optimize business assets and human resources.
Support and coordinate the development, implementation and localization of key initiatives and programmes (e.g., X-border trucking, Integrated warehouses services, compliance hub, etc.).
Oversee end-to-end LCL operations, ensuring compliance with APAC-specific regulations and delivering exceptional customer service.
Technology Customization: Collaborate with IT to enhance DPW ERP with 4PL-specific features (e.g., automated PO-to-Invoice workflows, carbon footprint tracking).
Integration Excellence: Ensure seamless connectivity between DPW ERP client ERPs, carrier systems, and DPW LCL pricing tools.
AI/ML Innovation: Lead AI-driven projects into the platform for demand forecasting, capacity optimization, and automated exception resolution.
Global, Region, Cluster Team Alignment: Work closely with country operations and commercial teams to ensure adoption of the LLP product, balancing global standardization with local execution.
LCL Synergy: Align LCL Product team to support Buyer Consolidation overflow strategies.
Client Governance: Serve as the escalation point for strategic clients, ensuring the 4PL product delivers on SLAs (e.g., on-time PO fulfillment, cost savings).
Develop and implement a regional LCL growth strategy for APAC, integrating sales, pricing, operations, and customer engagement initiatives.
Drive market penetration in high-potential APAC markets, leveraging cross-border trade dynamics and intra-Asia shipping lanes.
Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in emerging and established APAC markets, including China, Southeast Asia, and Oceania.
Build and scale consolidation hubs in strategic APAC locations by leveraging on DP World Ports and Terminals Network (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai) to enhance service efficiency and coverage.
