Job summary

NKF Singapore (The National Kidney Foundation) is seeking a Senior Dietitian to join the Allied Health team. You will provide quality nutrition care to patients, support service improvements, and mentor junior staff.

You will conduct dietetic consultations, develop personalised nutrition plans, monitor progress, and contribute to EMR improvements while promoting evidence-based practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics with a 24-week clinical internship is required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical nutrition experience in healthcare; renal nutrition experience is an advantage.
• Accredited Dietitian in Singapore and SNDA membership preferred.
• Strong counselling, nutrition care and patient communication skills.
• Experience in quality improvement, audits and/or clinical research.

Responsibilities

• Provide dietetic consultations and nutrition advice to patients and caregivers.
• Develop personalised nutrition plans based on patients' medical conditions and needs.
• Monitor patients’ nutritional progress and contribute to clinical documentation and data collection.
• Support development of EMR templates and tools.
• Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance dietetic services and patient outcomes.
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure good clinical practices.
• Guide, mentor and support junior dietitians and dietetic technicians.
• Coordinate and support clinical placements for dietetics and nutrition students.
• Provide nutrition education and updates to staff.
• Promote evidence-based nutrition practices within the organisation.
• Assist the Head of Department in planning and operations.
• Contribute to achieving departmental goals and service objectives.
• Perform other duties related to dietetic services as assigned.

• Keep up to date with the latest developments in nutrition and dietetics.
• Guide, mentor and support junior dietitians and dietetic technicians.
• Coordinate and support clinical placements for dietetics and nutrition students.
• Provide nutrition education and updates to staff.
• Promote evidence-based nutrition practices within the organisation.
• Support the Assistant Head/Head of Department in departmental planning and operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related discipline, with a minimum 24-week clinical internship.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare setting. Renal nutrition experience is an advantage.
• Accredited Dietitian in Singapore and SNDA membership preferred.
• Strong clinical nutrition, counselling and patient care skills.
• Experience in quality improvement, audits and/or clinical research.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and students.
