Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a latency-sensitive trading platform within the Corporate and Investment Banking Electronic Market Making team. You will help maintain infrastructure, tooling, and deployment pipelines that enable teams across multiple global regions to build, test, and release with confidence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Production Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Strong Linux systems administration, performance diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Networking fundamentals and practical network troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and automated test integration.
• Familiarity with Ansible, Puppet, Salt, and IaC practices.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and multi-region production systems.
• Ability to support incident management and read/debug C++ codebases for operational support.
• Experience leading the use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation standards.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipeline infrastructure (build orchestration, automated testing, artifact management, and multi-region deployments).
• Implement automation using Python and Bash to streamline workflows, environment provisioning, and configuration management.
• Manage Linux-based production and development environments (RHEL/CentOS), including tuning, capacity planning, and resource monitoring.
• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code for consistent deployment topology across environments.
• Build and operate monitoring, alerting, and observability for latency-sensitive trading systems.
• Assist with network configuration and troubleshooting for market data distribution and exchange connectivity.
• Follow reliability practices including automated failover, disaster recovery, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop and maintain internal developer tooling and self-service platforms.
• Collaborate across teams to drive operational improvements and production readiness.
• Promote AI-assisted engineering practices with secure validation standards.
