What’s the role?
- Design, implement, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines and practices that integrate security checks, threat detection, and vulnerability management throughout the CI/CD pipeline.
- Build and secure IaC using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Kubernetes, ensuring all infrastructure meets security standards.
- Maintain and optimize Kubernetes clusters for efficient orchestration of containerized applications.
- Administer and fine-tune Postgres SQL databases for optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Monitor system performance, detect and resolve issues, and ensure high uptime and reliability.
- Ensure the security of the infrastructure by implementing best practices and conducting regular audits.
- Lead projects related to service on the edge, data warehouses, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO/IEC27001:2013 and ISO 27018:2019), and contribute to ongoing audit and risk management processes to meet regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve code readability, latency, and overall application performance.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers and cross-functional teams.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8+ years of proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, cybersecurity or similar role, with a strong focus on AWS, Kubernetes, and Postgres SQL.
- Solid coding foundation, with proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for both applications and databases.
- Experience with service on the edge and data warehouse solutions.
- Excellent understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
- Proven leadership skills with experience leading projects and mentoring junior team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
- Experience with additional database technologies (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with serverless architecture and microservices.
