The Senior DevOps Engineer leads the strategic design, automation, and maintenance of robust infrastructure and deployment workflows. In this role, you will mentor a collaborative DevOps team, drive continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) practices, and ensure high availability and stability across Enterprise IT (EIT) application environments.
Analyze module specifications and collaborate with developers to coordinate tasks and track work progress.
Translate business requirements into detailed, technical DevOps solution designs.
Build and maintain automation pipelines and workflows using CI/CD solutions (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo).
Prepare and review changes to configurable items (hardware, software, documentation), ensuring adherence to configuration management planning, identification, controls, and audits.
Containerize applications and manage container clusters and registries; perform root cause analysis on defects and outages to prevent recurrence.
Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities, minimizing downtime and operational disruption.
Integrate and analyze application performance metrics and logs using tools such as Splunk, Nagios, or Dynatrace.
Manage incident management processes and application monitoring metrics to generate reports and implement corrective actions.
Adhere to established standards and best practices to enhance operational efficiencies, stability, and system availability.
Apply continuous delivery practices to evolve and support high-quality software, delivering value to end customers efficiently while working in collaborative, value-driven teams to build innovative customer experiences for enterprise clients.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships, break down team barriers, and engage in both high-level planning and detailed execution to achieve objectives.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to support their professional development.
Collaborate with developers to investigate reported problems and errors, initiating amendments and testing to ensure correct and efficient system operations.
Ensure all DevOps practices comply with Telecom sector security guidelines and standards.
Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience in DevOps engineering or a similar role.
Experience implementing application solutions in AWS, Azure Cloud, or Private Cloud environments.
Proven experience in DevOps practices, with strong knowledge in system automation, deployment, and implementation.
Experience handling distributed data systems and container architectures (e.g., Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Cassandra, Hadoop).
Experience working with application monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and understanding metrics to generate reports and take corrective actions.
Experience using scrum-based development tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
