About the role
The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions to ensure high performance and SLA on key services across the Crypto.com ecosystem. The role holder will monitor, investigate, solve, and/or escalate infrastructure and software production issues. The role balances technical skills, business knowledge, troubleshooting expertise, and excellent soft skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure maximum uptime for multiple production systems
- Provide L1/L2 application support to internal users for trading, data processing, and IT operations
- Perform system operation and administration tasks, including checking and monitor multiple systems performance on a daily basis
- Work closely with internal users to investigate and resolve production system issues, and communicate system enhancement /bug fix requirements to multiple engineering teams
- Coding for manual tasks automation and system automation
- Experience in defining and documenting SLA and OLA with various stakeholders
- Hand-on involvement on incident management, change management and response management as well as drafting RCA reports.
Requirements
- A strong interest in working in technology and/or financial environments
- 5+ year experience on application support or application development
- 1 year+ experience to support an exchange / high frequency / low latency trading system.
- Experience in Database query, Shellscript ; basic linux command
- Minimum 2+ years experience administering multiple monitoring systems such as Datadog, NewRelic, Kubernetes, Grafana and Elastic Cloud
- Strong Experience with Cloud Computing, AWS, Microservices Architecture, Unix and Linux Systems
- Experience coding in Ruby, Python, Java and/or GoLang
- Help in setting up the support model with the team in long term
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A problem solver with a keen eye for detail
- Provide phone or remote support in the non-office hour in case required
- Experience with third-party IT support ticketing systems is a plus
- Knowledge of Redis, Relational databases and log queries is a plus
- Coordinate between product and development teams to ensure effective delivery of supporting services to the end-user
- Stay abreast of the latest technology and trends
Preferred Technical Skills :
- Able to support applications on linux environment and cloud computing
- Familiar with modern deployments using CI/CD
- Familiar with operations under Linux environment
- Understanding of FIX protocols is a plus
- Understanding of AWS / Kubernetes is a plus
