Job summary

dConstruct Robotics, an award-winning AI and Robotics deep-tech company, seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to own end-to-end infrastructure across on-prem Proxmox and AWS. You’ll strengthen cloud infrastructure, improve CI/CD pipelines, and partner with a software team building in C++.

Responsibilities include designing scalable AWS environments with Terraform, debugging pipelines, and ensuring secure, reliable operations in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of production DevOps/Infrastructure experience.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, ECS/EKS).
• Terraform for infrastructure as code implementation.
• Relational DB experience (MySQL/MariaDB/Postgres).
• Redis in production environment.
• Networking fundamentals with security considerations.
• Familiarity with C++ build/dependency issues and collaboration with engineers.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Node.js for tooling and scripting.
• Robust shell scripting abilities.
• CI/CD tooling experience; Bitbucket Pipelines or GitLab CI is a plus.
• Experience with Proxmox or similar virtualization platforms.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help us manage and evolve a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premise virtualised environments (Proxmox)and AWS production services. You'll play a key role in strengthening our cloud infrastructure, improving our CI/CD pipelines, and partnering closely with our software engineering team, who primarily build in C++, to keep our platform secure, scalable, and reliable.

This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable owning infrastructure end-to-end: from designing secure, scalable AWS environments with Terraform, to helping developers debug a flaky pipeline, to digging into a production issue alongside the engineering team.

What You'll Do

• Own and maintain our AWS production deployments, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and cost-effective
• Design and deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Support our developers in configuring, maintaining, and improving our CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure our platform architecture can scale to meet growing demand
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to troubleshooti nfrastructure, deployment, and performance issues as they arise
• Help bridge our hybrid environment, bringing consistency and best practice across our on-prem and AWS footprints
• Contribute to the technical direction of our infrastructure and tooling as we grow

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineer in a production environment
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g. EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3,ECS/EKS, or similar)
• Practical experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, or Postgres): deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Experience with Redis in a production setting
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (VPCs, subnets,routing, firewalls, DNS, load balancing, security groups)
• Comfortable understanding of C++ (you won't be developing features, but you'll need to understand build/dependency issues and collaborate credibly with the engineering team)
• Working proficiency in Go, Python, and/or Node.js for tooling,automation, and scripting
• Strong shell scripting skills
• Experience with CI/CD tooling: Bitbucket Pipelines or GitLab CIexperience is a strong plus
• Experience with virtualisation platforms such as Proxmox (or similar, e.g. VMware, KVM) is a bonus
• A security-first mindset when it comes to designing and deploying infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with developers to resolve issues collaboratively

Nice to Have

• Experience migrating CI/CD pipelines between platforms
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS)
• Familiarity with observability/monitoring tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog, Open Telemetry etc.)
• Experience working in a hybrid on-prem/cloud environment
• Experience working with centralised logging / SIEM solutions

Location & Hours

• This role is based in Singapore, working primarily from our office
• Standard office hours, with occasional out-of-hours work required for incidents or deployments; we work to keep this to a minimum
