As a Device Engineer - NAND Cell in the NTI (NAND Technology Integration) group, you will be responsible for analyzing device characteristics and driving process and integration improvements for the next generation innovative NAND technologies to meet the required performances and reliability specs within project timelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Understanding NAND devices operation, reliability tests, product qualification performance and reliability requirements.
- Drive process and device technology development and innovations to meet the required performance and reliability specifications within project timeline, through clear problem segmentation, innovative process experiments design and thorough data analysis with device physics understanding.
- Extract and analyze inline, probe, parametric and reliability data for thorough data analysis.
- Drive cross-functional teams to address device/array deficiencies (design/process/deviceteams).
- Applies project management skills to small projects or parts of larger projects.
- Collaborate with various teams to improve project deliverables, such as with product engineers to improve array tests for better device characterization, with TCAD team for improved device understanding, with process integration engineers to define structural specifications to meet device requirements.
- Provide regular updates to global cell team and management team on project status and outlook, with clear summary of complex problems, actions taken to address them and timeline of deliverables.
- Assist in the transfer of a new technology from R&D to manufacturing and contribute towards ensuring successful ramp and qualification of current technology node.
Requirements :
- Masters in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in the areas of Process Integration, Memory or CMOS device technology.
- Ability to understand the NAND cell operation, reliability and performance requirements while contributing to new product qualifications.
- In-depth knowledge on semiconductor process flow (preferably nonvolatile memories) with good material and structural understanding is desirable.
- Exposure to R&D and transfer / manufacturing is preferred.
- Highly self-motivated, self-governing with proven ability to work in a demanding & dynamic environment.
- Ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet NAND cell requirements.
- Solid data analysis capability, communication and presentation skills.
- Occasional travel to US for new technology and skill-set development.
