Job summary

Enterprise Singapore is seeking a strategic leader to shape and execute programmes that advance Singapore's Diagnostics and MedTech sectors, including medical devices, SaMD, diagnostics, and life science tools.

You will collaborate with startups, scale-ups, and ecosystem partners to deliver targeted initiatives, connect firms with funding and capabilities, and drive data-driven product development and responsible AI adoption across the industry.

Qualifications

• A degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of experience in account management or business development, ideally within MedTech, diagnostics, healthtech, or biomedical industry.
• Strong understanding of MedTech and diagnostics landscape, including familiarity with medical device regulatory frameworks and commercialization pathways.
• Knowledge of AI and digital health trends, and understanding of data access and governance challenges.
• Analytical mindset with excellent writing and communication skills, and ability to translate complex information into clear insights.
• Keen business acumen with strong relationship-building skills across industry, government, and research communities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sector strategies and programmes to support growth of Diagnostics and MedTech enterprises in Singapore, focusing on devices, SaMD, diagnostics, and life science tools.
• Identify and account manage innovative start-ups and high-growth enterprises, serving as a trusted partner for growth, market expansion, and capability development.
• Engage closely with companies to understand needs and challenges, connecting them with resources, partners, and funding opportunities.
• Drive initiatives that support AI and data strategies, including secure access to research and clinical datasets for product development and validation.
• Collaborate with government agencies and ecosystem partners—venture builders, incubators, accelerators, and investors—to nurture enterprises and industry growth.
• Research and analyse local/global trends in Diagnostics, MedTech, Precision Medicine, and healthcare AI, translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare institutions, research organisations, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.
• Represent Enterprise Singapore at industry events and contribute to cross-agency efforts to develop Singapore's healthcare ecosystem.

[What the role is]

You will play a key role in shaping and executing strategies to grow Singapore's Diagnostics and MedTech sector, with a focus on supporting innovative enterprises across medical devices, software as a medical device (SaMD), diagnostics, and life science tools. Working closely with companies at various stages of growth, you will develop and deliver targeted programmes that help them scale, access new markets, and build capabilities — particularly in the area of Precision Medicine.

As AI and digitalisation increasingly reshape healthcare and biomedical innovation, you will also lead efforts to help industry players securely access relevant research and clinical data, enabling them to develop and validate data-driven products and solutions.

[What we are looking for]
