Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop and maintain scalable microservices and RESTful APIs. You will collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver fit-for-purpose digital solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.

You will drive architectural discussions, review code, mentor junior developers, and contribute to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of hands-on backend development experience in enterprise or cloud-native apps.
• Proficient in Java Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and message queues (RabbitMQ).
• Strong DB skills across SQL/NoSQL and caching (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience with Angular in enterprise applications.

• Act as a mentor to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Manage system integrations across internal and third-party platforms
• Contribute to DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe software delivery.
• Document key design decisions, system workflows, and technical specifications.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime and resilience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 years of hands-on backend development experience in enterprise or cloud-native applications.
• Proficient in Java Spring Boot.
• Solid experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and message queues (e.g.Rabbit MQ).
• Expertise in database architecture and performance tuning across SQL, NoSQL, and Caching layers (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience working with Angular in enterprise applications
