Job summary

MRL Consulting Group Ltd. is looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer based in Singapore to help design and improve the delivery platform, release processes, and operational tooling.

This hands-on role focuses on enhancing software delivery reliability and reducing issues. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with engineering teams, support CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to deployment automation across various environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Release Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to help design, build, and continuously improve the delivery platform, release processes, environments, automation, monitoring, and operational tooling that support global engineering teams.

This is a hands-on, high-impact engineering role focused on making software delivery more reliable, repeatable, and low-risk. You will work closely with Software Engineering, QA, DBA/Data Platform, Infrastructure, Security, Product, and Delivery teams to remove friction in deployments, reduce production issues, and improve overall operational maturity.

Hybrid – Singapore Office

Key Impact Areas

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for business-critical applications
• Improve and automate release and deployment processes across dev, QA, UAT, staging, and production
• Enhance environment consistency, configuration management, and rollback readiness
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, DBAs, infrastructure, and security to make releases safer and more predictable
• Support and evolve Azure DevOps (or equivalent tooling) for repos, pipelines, boards, and release workflows
• Define and improve release readiness standards, including testing, validation, and deployment checks
• Build automation, scripts, and tooling to reduce manual effort and operational risk
• Strengthen monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability across systems and services
• Participate in L2/L3 support, triaging build, deployment, environment, and production issues
• Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and drive practical, long-term fixes
• Identify and remove fragile processes, manual steps, and hidden dependencies
• Partner with DBA/Data teams on migration safety, backups, and deployment coordination
• Work with Infrastructure & Security teams on access, identity, secrets, certificates, and system dependencies
• Improve developer experience by reducing deployment friction and build inefficiencies
• Maintain clear runbooks, documentation, and operational procedures

What You Bring

• 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, Release Engineering, or similar roles
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
• Experience managing multiple environments (dev, QA, UAT, staging, production)
• Strong scripting ability (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar)
• Experience in release management, deployment validation, rollback strategies, and production support
• Solid understanding of application hosting, APIs, services, configuration, and dependencies
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tooling
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering, QA, infrastructure, security, and product teams
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Bicep, ARM, Ansible, Pulumi
