Job summary

A civil engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in infrastructure design. The candidate will lead projects ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, manage risks, and approve design deliverables. A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required, and Primavera P6 certification is preferred. This role offers a chance to work on large-scale infrastructure projects within a diverse team.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Oversee civil infrastructure design (rail, road, viaduct) and ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and engineering codes.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications for feasibility, risk, and constructability.
• Lead development of construction methodologies, technical proposals, and method statements to enhance competitiveness.
• Provide technical leadership in roadworks, drainage, earthworks, and related civil works.
• Approve design deliverables, shop drawings, and technical submissions with focus on quality, constructability, and value engineering.
• Coordinate with QS, planning, BIM, and procurement teams; engage suppliers/subcontractors for efficient solutions.
• Conduct site visits, feasibility studies, and risk assessments; implement mitigation measures as needed.
• Represent design team in client/consultant meetings and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, recognised by PE Board.

· Primavera P6 certification preferred.

· 10–15 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design, including tender and project management.

· Strong knowledge of Singapore design codes, regulations, and industry standards.

· Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
