Job summary

Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co (Singapore) Pte Ltd 上海隧道工程股份(新加坡)有限公司 is seeking an experienced engineer to support the design and technical function of a major infrastructure project in Singapore. You will coordinate across disciplines, monitor design submissions against the construction program and guide the design engineering team to resolve site challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board, or a qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, including 8 years in design for complex rail or road projects
• Experience in managing authority and agency submissions, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Ability to liaise with clients and drive design coordination across disciplines
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

• Assist to ensure the functioning of the design and technical team for major infrastructure project and provide design and technical expertise
• Coordinate with consultants to ensure integrated multi-disciplinary project delivery
• Assist in preparing and monitoring detail schedules for submissions in line with construction program
• Potentially optimise design approaches to minimise construction cost
• Provide technical inputs to support project planning, scheduling and execution strategies
• Guide and allocate tasks to Senior Design Engineers for overall design requirements
• Prepare Site Construction and Design Coordination inputs for consultants' input and site issues
