Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Demand Planning professional to oversee regional and international demand forecasting, inventory optimisation and production planning. You will consolidate market demand, develop SKU-level forecasts and align production capacity with business needs.

You will collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Manufacturing to drive supply chain efficiency while minimising stock shortages, excess inventory and wastage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in SCM, Logistics, Operations Management, International Business or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of demand planning experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or life sciences.
• Strong skills in demand forecasting, SKU-level planning, inventory optimisation and forecast accuracy analysis.
• Experience with MPS, S&OP and supply planning is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/supply chain planning systems (SAP, SAP IBP, Oracle or similar).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to manage multiple markets and changing demand patterns.

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Demand Planning professional to oversee regional and international demand forecasting, inventory optimisation and production planning.

You will play a key role in consolidating market demand, developing accurate SKU-level forecasts and aligning production capacity with business requirements. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Procurement and Manufacturing teams, you will drive supply chain efficiency while minimising stock shortages, excess inventory and wastage.

Job Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Manage and maintain consolidated demand forecasts across international markets and regional distributors.

• Develop rolling 12-month demand forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, seasonality and business projections.

• Consolidate, review and validate monthly sales forecasts from different market units.

• Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to incorporate promotional activities, tenders and seasonal demand fluctuations.

• Monitor forecast accuracy metrics, including MAPE and forecast bias, and conduct root-cause analysis to improve forecasting performance.

Production & Inventory Planning

• Translate consolidated demand forecasts into Master Production Schedules (MPS) and monthly production plans.

• Coordinate production and packaging schedules with internal manufacturing facilities and external co-packers.

• Optimise production runs and manufacturing capacity while ensuring timely fulfilment of market demand.

• Manage safety stock levels and inventory allocation across regional distribution hubs.

• Monitor inventory levels, shelf-life constraints and stock movement to minimise excess inventory, slow-moving stock and product obsolescence.

• Facilitate Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) discussions to address demand-supply gaps and mitigate potential stock shortages.

Material & Supply Planning

• Collaborate with Procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials and other production requirements.

• Monitor supply constraints arising from seasonal sourcing, manufacturing capacity, plant maintenance and production shutdowns.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve supply challenges and maintain production continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, International Business or a related discipline.

• 3–5 years of relevant hands‑on demand planning experience, preferably within FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries.

• Strong experience in demand forecasting, SKU-level planning, inventory optimisation and forecast accuracy analysis.

• Experience in Master Production Scheduling (MPS), supply planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) will be advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of ERP or supply chain planning systems such as SAP, SAP IBP, Oracle or equivalent.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

• Able to manage multiple markets, changing demand patterns and supply constraints effectively.
