Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore invites a seasoned Database Engineer to join our expanding technology team. You will manage databases across multiple platforms, ensure high availability, and drive performance tuning to support business applications.

Collaboration with IT and vendor teams will be essential as you design, test, and implement solutions to keep our systems secure and reliable. The role emphasizes automation, complex recovery, and engaging with application teams to deliver robust data

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years in database administration including install, configure, backup/recovery, tuning, and support for apps.
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery techniques is essential.
Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, EDB Postgres, MongoDB is preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage databases by administering, installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching.
Monitor and optimize database performance with capacity planning and detailed analysis.
Perform backups, complex recovery, and issue troubleshooting.
Automate routine tasks with scripts and open-source tools.
