About the Client

Our client is a European Bank renowned for its global footprint and strong presence in Asia. As the bank continues its digital transformation, it is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Scientist to lead AI and data strategy initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders to drive innovation and performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive and implement AI and data strategies across the organization.
• Engage with business-side stakeholders and Front Office (Wealth Management, Corporate banking) teams to identify opportunities for data science applications.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and data visualization tools to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage engagements with MAS and other regulatory bodies.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making within the organization and educate stakeholders on the value of analytics and AI.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience (at least 10 years) as a Data Scientist, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong background in AI/data strategy development.
• Strong ability to bridge technical and business domains.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools.
• Prior experience liaising with regulatory bodies is a strong advantage.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives.
