Job summary

You will mentor students and working professionals on applied projects, engage industry partners to tailor curricula, and help guide the institute’s strategic direction through thought leadership.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, AI, or related field.
• 10+ years hands-on data science, AI, or analytics experience, preferably in Banking/FinTech, Insurance or Investment Banking.
• Strong expertise in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI, and programming with Python, R, SQL; experience with cloud platforms and MLOps frameworks.
• Professional certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP ML Specialist, TensorFlow, Data Science are an advantage.
• Proven track record of leading applied projects that deliver measurable business impact.
• Confidence in engaging senior professionals and adapting to diverse learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver executive education and graduate courses in data science, artificial intelligence, and analytics with content that is practical, relevant and future-ready.
• Create immersive learning experiences through hands-on labs, real-world case studies, simulations, and projects that drive actionable insights.
• Engage with industry stakeholders to understand evolving needs and tailor curriculum that address business challenges.
• Lead with thought leadership by speaking at conferences, contributing to communities of practice, and shaping the strategic direction of NUS-ISS.
• Mentor learners on projects, career pathways, and applied research, while supporting internships and capstone outcomes.
