Job summary

Traveloka is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Singapore to build and scale data foundations. You will work on data warehouse architecture, pipeline development, and data quality to support analytics and decision making.

You will design robust data models, migrate legacy pipelines, and collaborate with Analytics, BI, Product, and Engineering teams to enable self-service analytics and trusted data across the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of Data Engineering experience building and operating large-scale data systems.
• Expert knowledge of dimensional modeling and data vault concepts.
• Hands-on with Hive, Spark, Flink, Kafka; strong SQL and ETL/ELT skills.
• Proficient in modern orchestration and transformation tools like Airflow and dbt.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable data warehouse architecture and data models (raw, staging, core/conformed, mart).
• Develop and maintain batch/streaming data pipelines with focus on scalability and data quality.
• Lead migration and consolidation of legacy pipelines, including validation and decommissioning.
• Establish consistent data definitions, metrics, and modelling standards across domains.
• Build data quality frameworks with automated tests, freshness monitoring, and anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with Analytics, BI, Product, Engineering to enable self-service analytics.
• Improve data discoverability with certified datasets, documentation, and semantic models.
• Mentor other Data Engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
