Jobtailor in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer to design and manage data pipelines, warehouses, and APIs that support data-driven applications.

You will collaborate with data architects, analysts, and developers to implement scalable ETL processes and robust data models, leveraging cloud platforms and big data tools in an Agile environment. The role emphasizes data quality, security, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant working experience as a data engineer.
• Proficient in data cleaning and transformation (SQL, pandas, R) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Experience building ETL pipelines (SSIS, AWS DMS, Python, AWS Lambda, ECS, Eventbridge, AWS Glue, Spring).
• Proficient in database design and multiple databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS S3, Athena, MongoDB, etc).
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiar with data modelling and data storage infra like Data Mart, Data Lake, Data Warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy data tables, views, and marts in data warehouses, data lake, and data virtualization
• Build and maintain large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines
• Integrate data silos in scalable, compliant ways
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable data-driven products
• Develop backend APIs and work on databases to support applications
• Work in an Agile CI/CD environment
• Engage in pair programming and code reviews
