Job summary

Xiaomi Technology is seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer in Singapore to lead the research and development of a scalable data platform for Xiaomi Internet businesses. You will drive end-to-end design and delivery of large-scale data systems, build ETL infrastructure, and implement Data as a Service for analytics teams.

Qualifications

• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• Good understanding of system performance and scaling.
• Familiar with at least one language such as C++, Go, Java or Python.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop data platform for Xiaomi Internet businesses; drive end-to-end design and delivery of large-scale data systems.
• Build infrastructure and tools for ETL from diverse sources with high throughput and fault tolerance.
• Design and implement DaaS for analytics teams to support intelligent operations.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements: automate manual tasks and optimize data delivery.
• Lead the data warehouse layering strategy (ODS/DWD/DWS/ADS) and set standards.
• Evaluate emerging big data technologies (Iceberg, Flink, Doris) to boost pipeline performance and freshness.
• Define data governance policies including data quality, lineage, access control, and metadata management.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and BI to translate requirements into robust data architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Drive cross-team alignment on data platform roadmap and participate in architecture reviews.
