Job summary

6110 UOB Asset Management Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Engineer/ML Engineer to design and maintain enterprise data platforms and analytics infrastructure. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or Looker, and ensure data governance across cloud data architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering, BI, ML engineering, or related roles in production.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK) and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA).
• Hands-on experience in Python and SQL; other languages (Java, Scala, C++) a plus.
• Experience with DataOps and MLOps best practices; cloud data platforms and big data tech (BigQuery, Kafka, GCP, AWS).
• Strong software development practices: Git, tests, CI/CD; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure for enterprise data platforms and ML.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate into visualizations and reports.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Implement data governance, including cataloging, lineage, quality, access controls with cloud-native tools.
• Data platform development for large-scale ingestion, storage, processing on cloud.
• Implement and manage data warehousing and centralized data solutions for asset management.
• Evaluate and integrate new data technologies to enhance capabilities.
• Data pipeline development: build robust data pipelines for ingestion, processing, transformation.
• Data quality checks and validation processes; ETL/ELT transformations.
• Learn and share knowledge in a multi-disciplinary team.
