Job summary

RISKDATA CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable data pipelines using Spark/PySpark, SQL and Python, on AWS and big data platforms.

You will collaborate with architects, data scientists and engineers to deliver production-ready data systems. You will implement batch and real-time processing, build data warehouses and data lakes, and integrate Generative AI and NLP capabilities to extract insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data with large-scale processing.
• Proficient in Python, Java and/or Scala.
• Hands-on with Spark/PySpark, SQL, Hadoop and Hive.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and data platforms.
• Knowledge of data warehouses, relational databases and data lakes.
• Experience with Kafka, Airflow, Jenkins, Git and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines using Spark/PySpark, SQL, and Python.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient ingestion and transformation.
• Build ingestion frameworks for databases, APIs, files, and streaming sources.
• Utilize AWS services (S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB).
• Develop data processing workflows using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Cloudera, Databricks for high throughput.
• Perform SQL and Spark tuning to enhance performance and resource use.
• Design data models, warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
• Integrate Generative AI and NLP capabilities into enterprise data apps.
• Develop solutions using LLM frameworks, RAG, vector databases, and AI APIs.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Participate in system design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
