Job summary

REGTECH INSIGHT PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Singapore to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Big Data, cloud, and AI technologies. You will collaborate with architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver high-performance, production-ready data systems.

The role requires 8+ years of experience with Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, and AWS services, plus strong programming in Python/Java/Scala and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Big Data with expertise in large-scale data processing.
• Proficient programming in Python, Java, and/or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Spark/PySpark, SQL, Hadoop, and Hive for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation.
• Build data ingestion solutions integrating databases, APIs, files, and streaming platforms.
• Utilize AWS services to deploy and manage cloud-based data solutions.
• Develop and optimize data processing workflows using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Cloudera, and Databricks.
• Perform SQL and Spark tuning to improve large-scale workload efficiency.
• Design data models, data warehouses, and data lake architectures for analytics.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and support containerized deployments with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Integrate Generative AI, NLP capabilities, and AI APIs to enhance data insights.
• Collaborate with solution architects, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.
• Participate in system design, development, testing, deployment, and provide production support.
