Job summary

Great Eastern in Singapore seeks a seasoned Data and AI professional to oversee ingestion pipelines and data lake integration. You will automate validation, scripts, and reports, and collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure high-availability data delivery.

The role requires 8+ years with Hadoop stack, Scala/PySpark, and experience with Spark, Hive, and ETL tools. Knowledge of Autosys/Control-M and cloud platforms is a plus. This is based at SG-GE Centre in Singapore.

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field.
8+ years working experience in data ingestion or data engineering with Hadoop tech stack.

Responsibilities

Analyze data requirements and develop data ingestion pipelines from source to data lake.
Automate data validation steps and report generation.
Automate scripts to reuse across analytics/ reporting needs.
Manage end-to-end data extraction and integration with analytics/reporting systems.
Design job schedules and configuration files for job schedulers.
Provide L2 batch support after deployment.
Review code for applications and programs developed by the team.
Contribute to initiatives delivering data into the data lake and insights.
Monitor performance to meet SLAs and optimize ingestion processes.
