Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a Senior/Data Engineer for the Transport AI Programme. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, data models, and governance to enable AI development across transport data sources.

Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will collaborate with AI software developers, infra engineers, and industry partners to deliver reliable, scalable data products in a cloud/hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field, 3–6 years of experience, intermediate or senior level.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; hands-on with Spark, Kafka, dbt, Airflow or equivalents.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and data warehousing/lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with real-time/streaming data processing.
• Experience building data pipelines for ML/AI workloads; data governance and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines ingesting diverse data sources.
• Develop data models, data catalogues, and feature stores for AI model training and inference.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance across platforms.
• Implement data governance including access controls, masking, anonymisation, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with AI teams to translate data needs into robust data products.
• Monitor and maintain pipelines in production and support incident response.
