Job summary

ADVANCE SOFTWARE ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL skills and backend experience in Java/Python to enhance our Data Management Platform. You will write complex queries, tune performance, and build server-side processing on Linux.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to design data platform architecture, create microservices and APIs, and ensure scalable data solutions for analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of hands-on SQL development, debugging, and optimization.
• 2+ years of Python/Java development on Linux.
• Fundamentals: OOP, data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with ETL, data warehousing, and data masking.
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Write complex SQL queries to support ETL, data analysis and debugging.
• Develop server-side data processing logic for high performance.
• Create microservices or APIs in Java/Python to invoke SQL functions or procedures.
• Fine-tune or optimize queries to support increasing data volumes.
• Write reusable and efficient code in SQL, Python/Java.
• Collaborate with product owners and engineering teams on data platform architecture.
