Job summary

Meta is seeking a Data Engineer to design and build large-scale data sets across our product and business platforms. You will work with software engineers, data scientists, and product managers to optimize growth, strategy, and user experiences for billions of users worldwide.

You will guide teams on data artifacts, logging, data models, and data governance, while ensuring security and quality across platforms and domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, or equivalent.
• 4+ years building data pipelines and analytics.
• Experience with SQL, ETL, data modeling, and programming language(s).

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and own the data architecture for large-scale projects, evaluating design and cost-benefit tradeoffs.
• Improve logging data frameworks and triage data infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to address data needs.
• Define and manage SLAs for data sets under ownership.
• Design, build, and launch data models and visualizations for multiple use cases.
• Tackle data integration challenges using ETL patterns and varied data sources.
• Optimize production data pipelines and related artifacts for easier development.
• Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities.
