Job summary

Winston Fox in Singapore is seeking a Senior DataOps Engineer with 5+ years post-graduate experience to join one of the world’s top hedge funds.

You will own the quality, reliability and observability of thousands of data pipelines, build monitoring, drive automation, and collaborate on AI-enabled data quality initiatives; note a four-days-per-week onsite policy and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-graduate experience in a Senior Data Engineer or Data-focused Software Engineer role.
• Strong programming skills, ideally in Python; other languages are useful.
• Proficient with data storage/manipulation tools: SQL, Pandas/Polars, Iceberg, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Experience with distributed systems, containers, and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux.
• ETL/ELT tech such as Airflow, Dagster, Trino, Spark, Hive.
• Financial markets experience preferred but not essential.

Senior DataOps Engineer with around 5+ years of post-graduate experience sought to join one of the World’s top Hedge Funds, renowned for Innovation and Massive-Scale Distributed Systems.

Our client seeks an ambitious and high-energy Senior Data / Data Ops Engineer who can join the team with strong opinions on best practices and the technical ability and determination to make it happen. The team own the quality, reliability and observability of the thousands of Data Pipelines that drive investment decisions and facilitate critical operations. The team builds and evolves the monitoring platform, drives automation that eliminates manual work, and is leveraging AI to step forward data quality and support capabilities. The firm are a recognised a leader in advanced AI development and also manage 100,000+ Kubernetes cores.

Requirements

• 5+ years post-graduate experience in a Senior Data Engineer or Data-focused Software Engineer role.
• Strong programming skills, ideally in Python, although other languages equally useful i.e. Go, Java, Scala, C#, Kotlin, Rust…
• data storage and manipulation tools such as SQL, Pandas/Polars, Iceberg, Databricks, Snowflake…
• Distributed Systems, Containerisation and Orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux…
• ETL/ELT technologies such as Airflow, Dagster, Trino, Spark, Hive…
• Financial Markets experience preferred but not essential.
