Job summary

Argyll Scott is seeking a Data Engineer to support a client reporting environment, focusing on data engineering, system enhancement and production support across pipelines and data platforms.

You will collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders and technology teams to understand requirements, design robust data solutions, maintain data quality and ensure reliable day-to-day operations of data platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in data and application support.
• Strong experience and knowledge in Python and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with analysts, stakeholders, users and technology teams to understand requirements and data needs.
• Design, build, test and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models for analytics.
• Translate requirements into reliable technical designs aligned with user journeys.
• Ingest, transform and curate data from multiple systems for downstream analytics.
• Validate data logic, mappings and transformation requirements including profiling and testing.
