Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions and pipelines. You will work with SQL, Python, Databricks and PySpark to ingest, transform, and integrate data while ensuring quality and governance.

Responsibilities include building dashboards, collaborating with stakeholders, and documenting processes. The role requires 5+ years in data engineering and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on Data Engineering experience including data pipeline development, ETL/ELT, and data integration.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and analytics.
• Experience with Databricks, PySpark or similar platforms.
• Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent visualization tools.
• Knowledge of data quality management, governance, and validation practices.
• Experience producing technical documentation and user guides.
• Familiar with SIT, UAT and QA testing.
• Knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions to improve data accessibility, usability, and reliability.
• Build, optimize, and support end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Query, cleanse, transform, and validate large datasets using SQL, Python, Databricks, and PySpark.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Conduct data quality assessments and implement controls for accuracy and integrity.
• Ensure compliance with data governance standards and IM8 where applicable.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for monitoring and analytics.
• Translate requirements into visualizations using Power BI and Tableau.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and data dictionaries.
• Maintain knowledge repositories (e.g., Confluence) for knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with technologies and drive process improvements.
