Great Eastern is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and enhance enterprise data pipelines for analytics, reporting, regulatory, and AI use cases. You will collaborate with IT, governance, and analytics teams to deliver trusted data assets and scalable data products.

The role focuses on building reliable, scalable pipelines across on-premise and cloud platforms, with strong emphasis on data quality, metadata, and governance. Insurance domain knowledge is advantageous.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or proven experience in data engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience with relational databases and big data ecosystems.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop end-to-end data engineering solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, integration, and provision of trusted data assets for analytics, reporting, and business consumption.
• Adopt best data engineering practices to design and build reliable data marts in the Hadoop ecosystem for planning, reporting, and analytics.
• Build and maintain reusable enterprise data assets, canonical data models, and common data services for consistency and reuse across domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to communicate data requirements, collect data, and validate data quality.
• Align logic of key metrics with business definitions and ensure code reflects latest requirements.
• Maintain and optimize data pipelines for data accuracy and integrity.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure smooth production deployment and governance adherence.
• Identify and propose improvements to data engineering processes.
