Job summary

Ollion seeks a Senior Data Engineer specialized in BI and data visualization to bridge raw data and business value. You will design dashboards in Qlik Sense, build data pipelines on AWS, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver insights that drive decisions.

You will manage the Qlik Sense server, enforce access controls, and mentor teammates, while contributing to governance and performance improvements in a remote-first, global team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Qlik Sense (scripting, expressions, dashboard design).
• 3+ years of AWS-native data services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3).
• Strong data visualization principles, BI design standards, and UX.
• Solid SQL skills and data modeling (dimensional, star/snowflake).
• Translate business needs into BI solutions with stakeholders.
• Experience implementing role-based access & data security controls.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive dashboards in Qlik Sense for data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate BI requirements into solutions.
• Build data pipelines using AWS services to support reporting needs.
• Design data models for self-service analytics.
• Drive data storytelling through KPIs and business metrics.
• Implement governance, access controls, and data quality checks.
• Optimize dashboard performance for executives and teams.
• Manage Qlik Sense server environment (installation, configuration, optimization).
• Set up security rules and user roles.
• Troubleshoot dashboard performance and connectivity.
• Support UAT, rollout, and BI adoption.
• Mentor team on BI and cloud data engineering.
