Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is hiring a Data Engineer for a permanent role at our Singapore office (Raffles Place). The candidate will report to the Data and Analytics Lead and contribute to end-to-end data management, pipeline design, and governance.

The role requires 5–6 years in data management, hands-on Azure Databricks experience, strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills, and familiarity with BI tools. Strong collaboration across teams is essential for delivering data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, or related quantitative field.
• At least 4–5 years of work experience in data management disciplines including data integration, modelling, optimization and data quality.
• At least 4 years of work experience designing and implementing data architectures in Azure cloud services and Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in Python (PySpark) and SQL; Java/Scala is a plus.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases including SQL and NoSQL; Oracle a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing new data pipelines; manage existing pipelines from various systems.
• Implementing data quality checks, validations, and governance for analysis.
• Transforming data with cleansing, aggregation, filtering and enrichment.
• Overseeing data model governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment for cloud resources.
• Collaborating with business users to produce reports and dashboards.
