Job description

As a Senior Data Engineer at Citi, specifically in the Analytics & Information Management team in Gurugram, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing data analytics solutions to support key business objectives for Legal Operations under the Chief Operating Office. Your responsibilities will include implementing optimized data processes/platforms, delivering impactful insights, and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Business Execution activities within the Chief Operating Office by implementing data engineering solutions to manage banking operations. This includes establishing monitoring routines, scorecards, and escalation workflows, as well as overseeing Data Strategy, Smart Automation, Insight Generation, Data Quality, and Reporting activities using proven analytical techniques.

You will also be required to enable proactive issue detection, escalation workflows, and alignment with firmwide Data Related policies. This involves implementing a governance framework with clear stewardship roles and data quality controls, as well as interfacing between business and technology partners for digitizing data collection and building a Data Strategy by creating a Data Lake, Data Pipeline, Governance & Reporting.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies. This includes identifying and compiling data sets, implementing rule-based Data Quality checks, and automating alerts for breaks while ensuring compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.

Moreover, you will collaborate with a team of data engineering professionals to deliver on organizational priorities and work as a senior member in the team. Your qualifications should include 5+ years of experience in Business Transformation Solution Design roles with proficiency in tools/technologies like Python, PySpark, Tableau, MicroStrategy, and SQL. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of Data Transformation, Data Architecture, Data Tracing & Lineage, Scalable Data Flow Design, Platform Integration, ETL & Smart Automation, and more.
