Job summary

Bank of China Limited Singapore Branch is seeking a seasoned Database Architect/Engineer to design high-availability data architectures and manage multi-DB environments. You will develop batch automation scripts, ensure data task timeliness, and oversee data lifecycle, DR drills, and governance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in database management, strong Linux and scripting skills, and English/Chinese communication abilities to report to Head Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS/SE/Information Management or related field
• 5+ years of experience in database management or development and operations
• In-depth understanding of database principles (transactions, locks, indexes, logs, replication, sharding)
• Proficient in using database performance analysis tools (Explain, slow logs, Profiling) with large-scale data optimization
• Familiar with Linux and at least one scripting language (Python / Shell) for tooling
• DBA-related certifications (OCP, MySQL OCP, TiDB PCTA) are a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork; reporting in English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Design high-availability data architecture

• Ensure stability and timeliness of data-related tasks
• Data lifecycle management; coordinate backups, DR, and drills
• Data governance and implement compliant strategies (cleaning, desensitization, archiving)
