Job summary

National University Hospital's National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS) seeks a seasoned statistician/data analyst to lead analytical projects using cancer registry and linked healthcare data. You will contribute to population health research, health economics studies and peer-reviewed publications.

The role requires robust statistical skills, experience with Python, R/Stata and SQL, and the ability to produce reproducible code while collaborating with clinicians and researchers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Experience with regression, survival analysis and longitudinal data.
• Proficiency in Python for data processing and large datasets.
• Proficiency in R and/or Stata for statistical analysis.
• Working knowledge of SQL and handling large linked datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical analysis plans for population health, survivorship and health economics studies.
• Conduct analyses on registry-linked and healthcare datasets, including survival and longitudinal methods.
• Prepare and maintain analysis-ready datasets from multiple data sources.
• Generate outputs, tables and figures for publications and presentations.
• Prepare statistical sections of manuscripts, reports and grant applications.
• Develop reproducible analytical code and documentation standards.
• Provide guidance to junior analysts and ensure quality checks.
• Ensure data governance, confidentiality and institutional requirements.
