Job description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst, Material Library to join the Materials Library team supporting VF FW & EQ brands in material creation, management, and governance.

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for materials selection analysis and standardizing library processes across VF FW & EQ brands. You will collaborate closely with Materials Sourcing and Brand teams to implement material selection processes that enable VF brands to leverage a consolidated materials library.

This role requires a strong background in data analysis, knowledge of material sciences/footwear materials, and basic project management skills. It is crucial in driving efficiency, regional material leverage, and optimizing material spend.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Material Library Data Analysis:
  • Drive seasonal material utilization efficiency, analyze data, and present insights to senior brand and sourcing stakeholders to scale and improve cross-brand leverage.
  • Lead new material development data analysis with brand and material teams, creating frameworks to evaluate alternatives considering costs and development trade-offs.
  • Maintain material library data quality metrics, work with suppliers to address data gaps, and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Material Library Development:
  • Develop and implement curation processes aligned with product development milestones, ensuring SOP adherence.
  • Manage physical and digital assets of the material library, ensuring updates and accessibility for brand teams, coordinating with sourcing teams and suppliers.
  • Optimize the curation process for efficiency, exploring integration with design tools and new applications.
  • Project Management and Collaboration:
  • Create clear communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders to influence behavior and meet business needs.
  • Plan and execute projects related to the material library, such as consolidation and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring stakeholder coordination.
  • Handle ad-hoc data requests, including reporting on material usage and counts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 3-5 years of experience in footwear or product development functions.
  • Undergraduate degree in Quantitative/STEM field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data processing tools (e.g., Excel VBA, Power Query, Knime, Alteryx).
  • Basic knowledge of PLM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills.
