Senior Cybersecurity Software Engineer

What the role is

Be accountable to build the cybersecurity capability development for MPA and the Maritime sector and serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in cybersecurity, focusing on software design, implementation, maintenance, and operations.

What you will be working on

The key duties and responsibilities are to:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain frontend web applications as the primary focus, with backend development and supporting infrastructure as secondary tasks, all within a secure cloud environment.
• Build, deploy, and manage DevSecOps pipelines for continuous integration and delivery of applications and cloud infrastructure resources (compute, storage, network).
• Drive continuous improvements and adopt the latest cloud technologies and security best practices to enhance application performance, security, and scalability.
• Ensure application and cloud environment security through appropriate implementation of security controls and practices.
• Lead project management efforts, overseeing planning, execution, and successful delivery of development projects.
• Keep abreast of the latest cybersecurity, cloud, and software development technologies and trends, providing insights and recommendations to the CISO to enhance the cybersecurity posture of the Maritime sector.

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of experience in software development, DevSecOps practices and cloud operations.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Relevant cloud certifications such as GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Good understanding of cloud-native application design, architecture patterns, and secure development practices.
• Good verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive team player with the ability to work effectively across teams.
