Job summary

NETS is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement and maintain layered security tools in collaboration with security operations, IT and risk teams. The role focuses on deploying and optimizing SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud security and regulatory-compliant security tooling across hybrid environments.

The optimal candidate has 10+ years in managing security tools, 5+ years cloud-native security experience (AWS/Azure/OCI/GCP), strong Unix scripting and independent work ethics, plus vendor

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Security related fields.
• At least 10 years hands-on experience in managing security tools not limited to SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, DLP, PAM, IAM, WAF, IDS/IPS.
• At least 5 years of experience managing native security services in cloud environments not limited to AWS, Azure, OCI, GCP.
• Very good understanding of information security, networking concepts, unix environment and shell scripting with troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience in planning the implementation and production rollout of security solutions with the ability to manage unforeseen issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimum to no supervision with get things done mindset.
• Candidates must have vendor certification and cloud certifications not limited to AWS Security, MS AZ-500.

Responsibilities

• Implement security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR and more.
• Implement native cloud security solutions and third-party tools in cloud environments.
• Manage and maintain security tools ensuring compliance with security requirements.
• Lifecycle management of security solutions to stay on approved versions.
• Handle incidents including zero-days, patching and misconfigurations with minimal business impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Perform periodic tool health checks and plan for future state.
• Conduct comprehensive UAT for security solutions before production rollout.
• Partner with vendors from POC to full deployment.
• Implement BAU changes and adhere to ITSM processes.
