Cybersecurity Engineer

Location: Singapore

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer / Head of Security Engineering

We serve SMEs, enterprises, healthcare, aviation, charities, and government bodies with end-to-end cybersecurity solutions, including compliance with Cyber Essentials, Cyber Trust, ISO 27000, and the Health Information Bill (HIB).

As part of our growing team, we are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer with a strong foundation in network engineering, CIS benchmarking, and compliance frameworks to drive customer success and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• CISOaaS Support:
  Deliver technical implementation and support for Cybersafe’s CISO-as-a-Service engagements across Singapore.
  Assist in policy-to-technology mapping for clients undergoing Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust certifications.
  Provide hands-on technical support to meet compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Network Engineering & Security Operations:
  Configure, monitor, and maintain secure network environments, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions.
  Support secure deployment of SIEM, SOAR, and endpoint security tools.
  Perform vulnerability assessments, remediation planning, and patch automation.
• CIS Benchmarking & Hardening:
  Apply CIS Benchmarks for operating systems, cloud, and applications to strengthen client infrastructure.
  Conduct baseline hardening and continuous compliance monitoring.
  Generate compliance and remediation reports for clients.
• Compliance & Certification:
  Support clients in achieving and maintaining CSA Cyber Essentials and Cyber Trust certifications.
  Assist with internal audits, gap analysis, and evidence collection for ISO 27001/27017/27018 and other frameworks.
• Incident Response & Risk Management:
  Participate in incident investigations, digital forensics, and post-incident reviews.
  Advise clients on best practices for risk identification and mitigation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum Certifications (Required):
  CompTIA A+
  CompTIA Security+
• Preferred/Advantageous Certifications:
  CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification.
  CISSP, CISM, or CSA CCSP (considered a strong plus).
  ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor (advantageous).
• Technical Skills:
  Strong background in network engineering and TCP/IP fundamentals.
  Proficiency in firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
  Experience with CIS Benchmarks, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
  Familiarity with SIEM/SOAR (e.g., Wazuh, Shuffle) and EDR solutions.
  Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure) preferred
• Soft Skills:
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  Ability to communicate cybersecurity concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
