Job summary

MEXC is a global cryptocurrency exchange seeking a senior risk data scientist to advance risk feature mining, model development, and data-driven decision making. You will collaborate with algorithm and product R&D teams to improve risk control systems while handling high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in risk model development within crypto or fintech, strong SQL/Python skills, and experience with XGBoost/LightGBM and deep learning for feature engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related majors; minimum 5 years of model development experience in finance or crypto risk.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, Spark or R; experience with LR, XGBoost, LightGBM and deep learning for feature engineering.
• Solid understanding of full lifecycle risk management and designing risk control strategies.
• Strong analytical thinking, data sensitivity, independent problem-solving and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth risk feature mining, risk strategy formulation, iteration and daily maintenance, and support complaint data analysis.
• Communicate requirements, explain solutions, and provide data-driven suggestions to resolve business pain points.
• Respond to online emergency risk incidents rapidly, locate root causes, and coordinate cross-team resources.
• Iterate and optimize risk systems and ML models with R&D teams to improve stability and infrastructure.
