Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior/ Credit Control Manager to oversee and manage the company’s credit control processes.

This role involves evaluating credit data, managing outstanding debts, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the credit control team to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.

  • Review aging reports regularly and initiate appropriate collection actions.

  • Develop and implement credit control policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure department’s effectiveness.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (sales, finance, credit risk) to resolve billing or payment disputes.

  • Work closely with legal counsel on debt recovery when necessary.

  • Prepare monthly management reports on collection performance.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers while ensuring compliance with company credit terms.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements.

  • Motivate, train and coach the junior executive.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in credit control, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.

  • Strong understanding of credit risk management and collection techniques.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in MS Excel.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Analytical and detail-oriented.

  • Good leadership with strong problem-solving skills.
