YOUR ROLE

  1. Debt collection
  2. Credit risk management

The main areas of accountability, listed in order of importance, include:

  1. Follow-up on payments due, checking against credit limits and policies, highlighting potential recovery issues, and ensuring timely reminder delivery to delinquent accounts.
  2. Investigate disputes and resolve discrepancies related to non-payment of invoices.
  3. Conduct financial background checks and references for new customers, and perform regular credit reviews for existing customers.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to monitor collection metrics such as days sales outstanding and monthly targets, and resolve customer payment issues.
  5. Liaise with internal and external customers on collections and reconciliation of balances, including inter-company billing.
  6. Implement continuous process improvements to enhance credit control efficiency through automation.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum diploma or higher education qualification.
  • 3-5 years of experience in credit control.
  • Experience in the freight forwarding and logistics industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel functions like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, SUMIF, etc.
  • Self-motivated with an analytical mindset and good team spirit.
  • Independent, organized, and able to meet deadlines under pressure in a dynamic environment.
