Job summary

NOVA8 is actively recruiting for a dynamic Legal Counsel based in Singapore with energy, projects and/or infrastructure development experience. You will advise on high-value transactions and provide strategic legal support across the project lifecycle.

These fixed-term contract roles partner with project delivery, procurement, and investment teams to navigate complex cross-border matters, commercial risk, and construction contracting in the Asia-Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction (common-law qualification preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years PQE, with background in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house counsel at infrastructure, energy, or logistics platform.
• Strong expertise in major capital projects, cross-border investments, acquisitions and joint ventures, real estate development, and complex construction contracting.
• Solid familiarity with international construction standards (FIDIC), project delivery models, real estate leases, and vendor/supplier frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Advise on greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects, concessions, joint ventures, site acquisitions, and leases.
• Advise on cross-border acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and project financing with focus on energy, energy transition, and infrastructure.
• Provide practical legal guidance on project execution, supply chain management, contractor claims, variations, performance security, and dispute mitigation.
• Draft, review, and negotiate high-value project, design, procurement, and construction agreements, including EPC contracts, FIDIC-based agreements, and build-to-suit packages.
