Job summary

SGX Group, headquartered in Singapore, seeks a Senior Core AI Engineer to build and maintain shared AI services and the platform infrastructure powering diverse AI use cases. You will drive observability, API design, and governance, while guiding engineers across business units and leading pre-deployment reviews.

This role anchors SGX Group's AI capabilities, enabling scalable, secure AI deployments in a regulated environment and across asset classes. Singapore-based, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience in Python, including system design, code review, and debugging in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and document processing.
• Experience applying data governance and security controls in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to make and document architectural decisions with minimal oversight.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs and shared services.
• Track record of mentoring other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain shared and reusable AI services and components.
• Design and implement observability and monitoring standards for AI services.
• Define APIs, integration patterns, cohesive architecture, and engineering standards.
• Provide technical guidance and code review to engineers across business units.
• Own technical documentation and governance artefacts for AI use cases.
• Lead pre-deployment reviews for medium and high-risk use cases.
