Job summary

NES GLOBAL PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Contracts Engineer to manage and administer all main contract activities on projects, collaborating with the Project Team and stakeholders to ensure timely, quality-focused contract execution.

Responsibilities include leading subcontracting activities, preparing invitations to tender, evaluating proposals, negotiating terms, and coordinating contract close-out. FPSO and North Sea oil & gas experience, international exposure, and strong English are required,

Qualifications

• FPSO project experience required.
• Experience in North Sea Oil & Gas.
• Experience supporting an operational FPSO asset.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 8+ years in contracting in construction, engineering, oil & gas, preferably internationally.
• Proactive approach with value delivery; strong English skills.

Responsibilities

As Senior Contracts Engineer, you are part of our contracts team and you are responsible for managing and administrating all main contract activities on Projects. You work closely with the Project Team and other stakeholders and interfaces as required.

You will also be responsible for:

• Managing and administrating all related subcontracting activities on various Projects in a timely, quality focused and budget driven way in accordance with the Company Management System (CMS)
• Contribute to subcontracting strategies
• Prepare subcontracting strategies in line with the project objectives
• Be the Lead contracts engineer on the larger projects.
• Preparation of invitations to tender through evaluation of tender proposals and final contract award and subsequent contract administration through to close-out
• Evaluate and negotiate commercial and contractual matters, and co-ordination of technical evaluation of the received tenders.
• Organize and lead tender clarification meetings, tender board meetings, kick-off and commercial meetings

You will need:

• FPSO project experience
• North Sea Oil & Gas experience
• Experience supporting an operational FPSO asset
• a Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Legal, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Over 8 years' experience in a contracting environment within the construction, engineering, oil & gas industries, preferably gained internationally
• FPSO experience
• knowledgeable experience in major re-measurable and lump sum EPC(IC) contracts
• a proactive approach to the role and be able to demonstrate added value at all times
• excellent command of English, both verbally as well as in writing
• the willingness to travel on short-term overseas business trips, as well as longer-term assignments
