Job summary

ABeam Consulting is seeking a seasoned PMO lead to drive the core banking system implementation across the APAC region. You will organize project plans, align business requirements with delivery, and coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple countries.

You will manage risks and stakeholders, prepare status reporting, and ensure adherence to client frameworks and governance. This role demands strong discipline, collaboration, and proactivity in a multinational consulting environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years in top-tier or leading consulting firms focused on banking projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration across overseas offices.
• PMO experience for package system implementation.
• End-to-end project management including timeline, scope, budget and quality.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead Ops team as PMO for implementing a new core banking system for APAC (10+ countries).
• Create plans and support BA to define business requirements and ensure system coverage; manage progress and issues.
• Support Project Manager and client PMO in planning, tracking and coordinating activities for smooth execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and PM documentation.
• Monitor timelines, deliverables, and dependencies; identify delays or risks and escalate.
• Prepare and consolidate weekly/monthly project status reports for internal and client stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to client PM framework, compliance standards and templates.
• Coordinate with workstream leads, vendors, and cross-functional teams for communication and issue resolution.
• Assist with change requests, risk/issue tracking and lessons learned documentation.
• Uphold consulting professionalism and confidentiality; foster collaboration with client teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead Ops team as PMO for implementing new core banking system for APAC region (10+ countries).
• Creating plan and support BA to define the business requirements and ensure the system coverage. Progress and issue management are also included.
• Support the Project Manager and client’s PMO team in planning, tracking, and coordinating project activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and other project management documentation.
• Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies, ensuring any delays or risks are promptly identified and escalated.
• Assist in preparing and consolidating weekly or monthly project status reports for both internal and client stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to the client’s project management framework, compliance standards, and documentation templates.
• Coordinate with various workstream leads, vendors, and cross-functional teams to facilitate communication and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in top-tier or leading consulting firms with a focus on the banking industry projects.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams across overseas offices.
• Good socialization skills, including physically remote members (located in different branch)
• Professional Mindset with Responsibility and Strong self-discipline and commitment to the project success.
• Expertise in PMO role for package system implementation project
• Proven experience in end-to-end project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of system implementation projects, with accountability for timeline, scope, budget, and quality delivery.
• Strong risk, issue, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to proactively identify project risks, drive mitigation plans, manage cross-functional dependencies, and report effectively to senior management and steering committees.
• Expertise of Banking business and operations such as Trade Finance, Lending/Loan, Payment/Collection and Cash Management, Treasury and Market, Deposit, Accounting, etc is a plus.
• Implementation experience and knowledge of Trade360, Oracle Flexcube, Murex, ACBS, Finastra GPP, Oracle ERP is a plus.
