Job summary

The MD will drive growth, manage large-scale projects, client relationships and senior teams, while ensuring safety, compliance and profitability across local and overseas markets.

Qualifications

• Proven senior management experience in the construction industry.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, QS or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s overall business operations, financial performance and strategic direction.
• Lead major construction projects from planning, tendering and contract negotiation through to completion.
• Manage multiple high-value construction projects under tight deadlines and significant commercial pressure.
• Oversee project budgets, costs, contracts, cash flow and profitability.
• Lead senior management, project teams and operational staff and maintain high performance standards.
• Develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, consultants and business partners.
• Attend client meetings, business dinners, networking events and corporate functions as required for business development and relationship management.
• Represent the company in high-level business negotiations and discussions.
• Undertake regular domestic and overseas business travel to meet clients, business partners and project stakeholders.
• Resolve urgent operational, manpower, contractual and project-related matters.
• Visit and work at construction sites and operational locations when required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant contractual, safety and regulatory requirements.
